Here’s my second painting in acrylics, a labrador puppy.
I heard that at Watts Atelier, they have their students paint monochromatically to begin with so I thought I’d give that a go.

Anatomy Art Study: Biceps
More anatomy art study – this time of the biceps.
I hadn’t realised but the biceps actually originate from the scapula! Who’d have thunk it!

This is a study of the triceps muscles I did the other day. Learning the origins and insertions really helps with inventing poses from imagination.

I’ve been studying the origins and insertions of the deltoid muscles.

I’m still trying to improve my anatomy drawing.
I’ve found that if I learn where muscles start and end, I feel more confident drawing them.
Here is a study of three of the muscles at the back of the shoulder: the Infraspinatus, Teres Minor and Teres Major.

I’ve added in some tones and a few details.

Site Maintenance: Migration To New Webhost
If you are reading this post then the site migration has completed successfully!
The performance on my old (free) webhost was becoming so painfully slow and troublesome that I finally decided to put my hand in my pocket and go for a paid webhosting service from Vidahost.
The WordPress migration actually worked quite well once I’d got my dumb fool mistakes out of the way!
Hopefully now I can upload new content without having to submit it 3 or 4 times.
My initial feel for the new host performance? Smooooooooooth! It just goes to show: You get what you pay for!
